Math Calculators
Geometry Calculator
Calculate area, perimeter, surface area, and volume for circles, rectangles, triangles, spheres, cylinders, cones, and cubes.
Quick guide
Choose a shape, then enter the measurements it needs, such as radius, length, width, base, height, or side. The calculator applies the standard formulas to give area and perimeter, or surface area and volume for solids.
Read the full explanationHow It Works
Each shape has standard formulas: circles use πr², prisms and cylinders multiply base area by height, and cones and pyramids take one third of that volume.
Formula Used
Circle: A = πr², C = 2πr. Sphere: V = 4⁄3πr³. Cylinder: V = πr²h. Cone: V = ⅓πr²h. Cube: V = a³.
Example Calculation
A circle with radius 5 has area ≈ 78.54 and circumference ≈ 31.42; a cylinder with r = 5, h = 6 holds ≈ 471.24 cubic units.
Practical Use Cases
- Solve geometry homework with checks.
- Estimate material, paint, or capacity needs.
- Convert between dimensions and volumes.
